A New Class

Devin and I team teach in Primary this year and we got our new class on Sunday. They are two years younger than our class last year and If we were getting paid I would have to say "They are giving us a run for our money." They are so cute but have so much energy. I didn't know that 6yr old's had so much to say and so many off the wall comments. Most of what they said was just silliness.
With our old class I would change the names in the lesson stories to kids in our classes names and they thought that it was so funny, but this new class I don't think that they are old enough for that because I did that on Sunday, and I used one of the little girls names in a story about a girl who did not choose the right and ate her sisters cookie. Not a good idea. I had the little girl almost in tears telling me she would never do that. I felt so bad I tried to tell her that I was kidding and that I knew she would'nt do that but she just kept saying I would never do that. While the rest of the class was asking me if they could have a cookie. (I think that I am going to have to remind the kids parents to bring snacks or eat right before church because I had at least 4 tell me they were going to starve to death. ) So this will be a good learning year for us. I am going to have to make my lessons more interesting if I am going to teach them anything and I will need to bring snacks. But I think that we will have fun and I am happy that I get to spend the time with Devin and Parker.
